For natural hemorrhoids treatments, take the alternative
Alternative medicine, that is! Thankfully I do not speak from personal experience, but my friends and their hemorrhoids – my goodness! Painful, frustrating, embarrassing, and itchy – that about covers it.
Most people have heard of the mass-market hemorrhoid relief product in the yellow and blue package even if they never used it. I didn’t even say it, and you know which product I mean, right?
Common advice is to sit in a warm bath for at least a few times per day. (That adds up to a lot of time during the week.) And of course, sitting upon a specially-designed ring-shaped cushion – the infamous rubber “doughnut” – wherever you go. If you haven’t seen a tough, burly guy exclaim in panic, “I’ve lost my doughnut!” then you haven’t truly lived.
And speaking of water, don’t forget to drink a lot of it! Many people suffer dehydration and they do not know it. But the body knows, and it will tell you in several ways, and one of them is bowel and hemorrhoid trouble.
More than likely the bath will soothe the tissues, but what an inconvenience! The doughnut will make it easier on you when you’re in the car or sitting at your desk. A soothing cream will provide some relief, but with these treatments you are treating symptoms only. Ask yourself, “But is it a cure?”
You must answer NO! For a cure you must turn to the wisdom of the centuries. Both Eastern and Western, or Oriental and European traditions have discovered certain herbs which can act on this problem. You may want to patronize a doctor of oriental medicine, or a naturopathic or homeopathic physician to experience an herbal-based treatment. Or go online, use a search engine and look for natural hemorrhoids treatments.
Herbal answers to natural hemorrhoids treatments include the Western treatments of Vitamin C with bioflavonoids, Psyllium, Butcher’s Broom, Horse Chestnut, Flaxseed, and St. John’s wort (use as an external ointment). Again, you can’t drink too much water.
Since oriental medicine classifies hemorrhoids as being caused by different deficiencies in the body, you really should see a practitioner to be diagnosed. Do not just grab the first “oriental hemorrhoid pills” that you see off the shelf.
Any questions or concerns and excessive bleeding and pain? Ask your doctor!
